Forms of Payment

We accept Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Interac, and Cash as forms of payment. Payment of all monies owed is due at the time of the appointment. We want quality dental care to be affordable to all. If you are having major work done you may ask our receptionists about payment options.

Account balances of greater than 60 days will be charged interest at a rate of 2% per month or 24% per annum. Outstanding accounts will be sent to a collections agency if unpaid after 120 days. Payment plans may be arranged on an individual basis
Also note that expenses for dental procedures you have paid for yourself (not paid by your insurer) are eligible as medical deductions on your annual tax return.

Insurance

Norberry Dental charges fees consistent with the current Manitoba Dental Association Fee Guide. Some insurance plans pay benefits based on older fee guides, so being familiar with the particulars of your plan will help you avoid disappointment and unplanned expenses. We can never guarantee what your insurance company will pay and you are responsible for any amount not covered by your insurance.

Some things you may want to find out about your insurance coverage are: annual maximum; deductibles; allowable frequency of cleanings; fluoride allowance; scaling allowances.

For all major work such as crowns, bridges, dentures and implants we will send a pre-authorization to your insurance company so that you will know beforehand what your insurance company is intending to pay. Keep in mind that many insurance companies put an expiry date on their pre-authorizations and you also still need to keep in mind that even though a procedure is approved, it is subject to your plan’s yearly maximum.

Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions. Our staff have extensive experience with dental insurance companies and we would be happy to help you understand your dental benefits.  If you require assistance, please contact us at 204.257.5816 or online here.
